FOUNDATION LEVEL

The Foundation programme is a one-year course designed to introduce students to a range of vocational areas, particularly business, health and social care and IT. The course will also develop the skills they will need to be successful in further education. Students with at least three GCSE passes (A*-G), including English at grade E and maths at grade F, can study a BTEC Introductory Diploma, and then progress to an intermediate programme the following year. Students should carefully consider their level of motivation and commitment before undertaking this course and should be focussed on progression to higher level programmes of study.
