The College runs an annual exchange to Unna, Kirklees' twin town. The exchange is a joint visit with students from New College and Greenhead College. Students stay with local families and attend visits to a local school. The visit is very much a cultural exchange enjoying a range of cultural visits to nearby towns, cities and places of interest. It is not uncommon either to take part in musical and sporting activities. This visit provides language students with an excellent opportunity to develop their German speaking and development afforded from living with a German family for a week. Many students enjoy the experience so much they sometimes revisit Unna for extended work placements or for gap year placements.
