This is now a well established exchange programme with Kirklees twin town Bielsko Biala in southern Poland. We are now in our 8th year of exchanges and students have investigated many issues and common interests relevant to both sets of students and local communities. Topics investigated so far include the history of our towns and development, the environment, sport and health, travel and tourism.
We are now looking to recruit students for next year’s exchange programme; the theme is likely to look at the reason for emigration from Poland to the UK. If you are interesting in staying with a Polish family for 8 – 10 days and for you to return the complement please contact John Moss for further information and costs.
The polish students would come to Huddersfield first in February 2009. You would go and stay with your Partner in May/June 2009.
