Student Support Assistant Team

There is a large, well trained and experienced team of support assistants, who are based in The Study Centre. They provide flexible classroom support across college, for students with medical conditions or SPLDs.

The nature of support is agreed during the transition process and by discussion with tutors. They have extensive experience of supporting students who have mobility needs and conditions such as dyspraxia, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, visual impairment and hearing impairment.

They also help in a multitude of ways, where the need arises, with things such as exams, transport, checking work and subject support.
