Support for students > Student Union

On behalf of the Student Union Executive we would like to welcome you to Huddersfield New College. The Student Union is run by students, for students; we represent your voice to the College Management. The Union is an integral part of college life; we organise social and fundraising events – the proceeds of which are largely used to improve student areas and to make donations to charities. The Union is also heavily involved with more important issues within College, for instance, the previous  Union was involved with appointing a new Principal.  The President and Vice President are members of the College’s Governing Body where they represent your views. 

The Student Union can only be effective if we have the support and    participation of students. We aim to actively encourage and appreciate your participation; any ideas, suggestions or issues that you have can be raised by yourself at our weekly meetings or you can contact an executive member for them to raise it on your behalf.
