2024: A YEAR OF ENRICHING EXPERIENCES
18.12.2024As we approach the end of 2024, students at HNC have reached the half-way point of one of their enrichment blocks! When they return after the break they will have five weeks left, before the second block of enrichment commences. Today we are delighted to share a quick update of all the exciting things our students have been taking part in over the past few weeks.
This year has been a fantastic year of enrichment – all students at HNC complete at least one block of enrichment, but can also opt into all year round opportunities such as DofE Gold, being part of Student Council, Young Enterprise and the College’s Sports Academies.
Throughout 2024 there have been over 200 differing enrichments our students have been able to book on – and 2025 will see students starting new ones including sewing club, dissection club, open mic and Italian club.
The photo gallery below shares some images from the past five weeks of just some of the exciting events, societies and activities our students have taken part in. These have included tabletop gaming, debate club, ballet, self defence, ceramics, mindful colouring and accessible astronomy to name just a few!
Maria Dean, Assistant Principal comments: “2024 has been an incredibly action packed year for enrichment – and 2025 is set to be even busier! The end of the year represents the half way point of our first block of the academic year, and our students have really been enjoying their chosen enrichments, and the chance to develop new skills and knowledge. Enrichment is a core part of the HNC Experience Blueprint which is designed to help each and every student to become their best selves. Through enrichment we not only help our students to try something new and enhance their experience, they also gain a flavour of how saying yes and committing to something new offers them the chance to develop as individuals and meet others with similar shared passions. We look forward to sharing with our Year 11 applicants the huge variety of exciting opportunities that they can expect if they enrol in 2025.”
