HNC is delighted to reveal that students studying A Level Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics now have full access to UpLearn, a comprehensive STEM focused online learning platform designed to work alongside teachers to provide students with a personalised learning guide to maximise success.
UpLearn is a specially created online support programme that runs alongside your lessons and directed learning time (DIL). The online platform provides students with interactive content that is specifically designed around the curriculum, tailored to the exam board specification. Through the online learning tools, UpLearn meticulously tracks progress, allowing the student to identify areas that require improvement and access a personalised revision and support package so that any gaps in knowledge can be filled. Driven by the individual’s own learning style, the programme aims to ensure that students are armed with the knowledge and confidence to achieve highly in their exams.
Students studying A Level Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics can now access their UpLearn accounts from any device, both at College and at home, and it is recommended that students access at least 20% of the course content. Although this is usually a paid for service, students studying the above A Levels at HNC can use the platform for free throughout their time at HNC. Emma Reeves, Head of Faculty Maths and Science, comments “I am delighted that we are able to offer our A Level Maths and Science students the opportunity to further develop their skills through UpLearn. Working alongside our subject experts, UpLearn is a genuinely useful tool that uses the very latest technology to help guide students along a tailored study programme to ensure they are in a position to maximise their success and earn the life-changing qualifications that will secure their next steps”.
Students at HNC can expect world class teaching supported by a variety of resources, both inside and outside of the classroom.
