HNC has revealed that today students can now start to choose which enriching experience they will opt into during the upcoming academic year. Over 100 different clubs, societies, activities and events are available to students, and today our community are starting to explore which of these will help them to become their best selves!
There is genuinely something for everyone – just some of the opportunities include self defence, Student Council, DofE, make your own ceramics, write for the HNC Echo, an Amnesty International Society, 3D Digital Animation masterclasses, a debating society and a whole host of sports based activities, to name a few. Today information has been released so that students can create their shortlist ahead of bookings opening on Wednesday 9 October.
Each enrichment is organised into a variety of categories which include new skills, giving back, industry experiences, life beyond HNC, something different, the green agenda, get creative, health and wellbeing and competition, helping students to choose something that suits them and is personally tailored to their interests and plans. All students at HNC take part in at least one block of enrichment. Once all students have booked this, any remaining availability will be released so that students who wish to participate in additional enrichment can do so.
Maria Dean, Assistant Principal comments: “Enrichment is a key part of the HNC Experience Blueprint, offering students a unique range of opportunities outside of their studies, and the chance to develop new skills, expand their horizons and access enrichments that help them to take their next steps with confidence. We are incredibly proud and excited at the diversity of the opportunities our students can opt from – whether they want to take part in something that supports their vision for the future, or simply do something different outside of their studies, there is genuinely something for everyone. We can’t wait to see what our students choose and would recommend that students get ready for the 8.30am release time for bookings on Wednesday 9 October so they have the best chance of securing their first choice!”
All students have been issued with an information booklet, and will have chance to review this before bookings open on Wednesday 9 October at 8.30am. You can view a copy of this here.
