HNC is delighted to reveal that our revamped Parent/Carer Hub will be launched at the end of this month. This one-stop shop of resources, information and advice is designed to help our parent/carer community to stay informed, involved and connected during their son/daughter’s HNC journey.
The online platform offers parents and carers the resources and tools to ensure that they can engage during their son/daughter’s time at HNC. Studies show that active involvement from parents/carers has a huge impact on a student’s final achievements and grades. The hub was released in January 2025, but has been moved to a new platform which has offered the College the opportunity to provide more content and resources in response to parent/carer feedback. Just some of the resources that will be on offer include:
The hub has new content added through the academic year. Parents/carers will be sent the password and link in next week’s parent/carer bulletin.
Hayley Doyle, Admissions and Communications Director comments: “Students at HNC are transitioning to adulthood, but parent/carer engagement in this journey is absolutely critical to success. The Parent/Carer Hub is a one stop shop of information, advice and support that helps our parent/carer community to stay involved during this important time. We are aware from parent/carer feedback that as students develop in independence, it can be more difficult to understand how to engage, particularly if a parent/carer has not studied the subjects their son/daughter have. The hub provides a bridge between College and home, and supports our parents/carers during their journey at HNC. We are really excited about our new and improved hub, and look forward to hearing feedback from our parent/carer community.”
