In our usual charitable spirit, staff and students of Huddersfield New College clubbed together to raise funds for the annual Children in Need appeal.

Led by the Early Years department, and of course, Pudsey the Bear, we raised a fantastic £484.38 on the day, smashing last year’s total by over 60%.

The total was raised in a collective effort, and included a staff raffle, Pudsey hugs and tasty homemade buns and cakes, which sold out in record time!

Never ones to shy away from an opportunity to dress up, staff and students were spotted across college in an array of PJs and super hero costumes, with the Early Years teachers going all out with some fantastic Pudsey onesies.

The amount raised is testament to the commitment of everyone at New College to helping out in whatever way they can.

Principal Angela Williams, said “Every year our students support this amazing cause and the monies that they have raised today will help to make a difference to other young people across the UK. They are truly superheroes.”
