HNC welcomes a record number of students

Huddersfield New College is delighted to announce that applications for 2013-14 increased by 3% on the previous year, and that applications are now open for the 2014-15 academic year which begins in September 2014.

Coffee for cancer charity at HNC

Friday 27th September saw the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning come to Huddersfield New College, with over £280 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support – a fantastic total achieved through the generosity of staff and students.

Record results once more for HNC

Huddersfield New College is celebrating another fantastic year of A level results after 99% of A2 students passed their courses. The number of students achieving high grades – A*, A or B – has also increased by more than 5% since last year.

Students return to mark 50th anniversary

As the AS and A2 students leave college this term for their well-earned summer holidays, work starts at Huddersfield New College on revamping the main reception area and the street to the point that they’ll be unrecognisable by the end of August.

Over a hundred eager and talented mathematicians visited from the nearby Salendine Nook Academy to attend four challenging Maths Masterclasses last week. The classes covered topics ranging from the design of bridges to the growth of viral YouTube videos.

After the disappointment of seeing their game against Marylebourne Cricket Club rained off, three of Huddersfield New College’s talented cricketers are in the starting XI for Yorkshire U19 schools this week at St Peters in York.
