HNC has recently revealed that students from across the College will be taking part in a series of activities focusing on their next steps after College as part of ‘Vision Week’. Due to popular demand, we are delighted to announce some additional healthcare related talks have been added to our Vision Week schedule and bookings for these talks are now open!
Students who are hoping to progress to a healthcare role or allied health profession can sign up to a number of inspiring and enlightening talks, hosted by the University of Bradford. In these specialist sessions, students can discover more about a wide range of degree pathways and explore which route would be best for their progression plans. Students will also have the opportunity to speak to ambassadors of the courses to hear more from current degree level students about their experiences. These sessions are particularly helpful for Year 12 students who are keen to progress to a healthcare related degree who are studying the Sciences, Health and Social Care, Sociology and Psychology. Biomedical Science/Applied Biomed
In this session, students can discover more about where a degree in Biomedical Sciences can take them and explore the differences between the degree pathways. This session will be of particular interest to students who are keen to progress to a role in genetics, infection and disease.
Diagnostic Radiography and Clinical Technology
In this session, students can find out more about a career in Radiography to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of injury and disease, and how clinical technology is innovating medicine and healthcare. This session will be of particular interest to students who are hoping to progress to a hands-on health related role.
Pharmacy/Clinical Science/Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic
In this session, students can discover more about a range of healthcare related courses that provide support to the NHS. This session will provide a greater understanding of the breadth of roles that support to wider healthcare outcomes, including healthcare regulation and drug safety. This session will be particularly of interest to those wanting to progress to a pharmaceuticals-based role.
Health Ambassador talk with Q&A – Midwifery, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy
For students hoping to progress to an Allied Healthcare role, this is a session designed by students for students. Interested students can hear from current degree level students about their experiences, ask their advice, and discover how to secure a place on one of these competitive degrees. This session will be of particular interest to students who are hoping to progress to a hands-on allied health related role.
