Students from across HNC’s Year 13 A Level Physical Education and Applied Sports courses have recently enjoyed a session with higher education provider, University Campus of Football Business (UCFB), to discover more about the undergraduate, football-focused degree programmes available.
UCBF is a higher education provider who operate a number of specialist centres across the UK and the USA to develop the next generation of football professionals, with a broad range of football focused degrees, from marketing to finance to events management. Year 13 students studying a sports-based qualification at HNC who have selected UCBF as one of their UCAS choices were invited to take part in an information session, with guest speakers from UCBF delivering a bespoke workshop to share more about the courses, the university campuses – based at Wembley Stadium, the Etihad Stadium and an American campus based in Miami – and wider life as a UCBF student.
During the session, the group were able to discover more about the possible progression routes via in depth, degree specific workshops, followed by an informative Q&A, giving students the opportunity to decide on whether UCFB is the right next step for them. Tom Smith, Faculty Lead Enrich, Sport and Health, comments “Students studying a sports-based qualification at HNC can access a wide variety of next steps after College. In this session, those students who have chosen UCFB as one of their UCAS choices enjoyed a further exploration of what the university can offer them, helping them to feel confident ahead of having to finalise their firm UCAS choices. Thank you to our guests from UCBF who shared more about the experiences on offer and delivered a genuinely useful session to our students who are very excited to take their next steps with confidence”
Students at HNC have access to a full range of careers and work experience support to enable them to progress with confidence. Find out more about how we help our students to access their dream careers at our upcoming open event on Saturday 12 October. Find out more here.
