HNC has revealed that our Student Council will be hosting a Halloween Spook-tacular and raising funds for Andys Man Club, one of HNC’s current Charities of the Year.
On Friday 24 October our College community will be coming dressed in costumes, or even just wearing Halloween themed colours, and making donations on a pay as you feel basis to Andys Man Club. There is therefore no cost to joining the day, but donations are welcome. All funds will go directly to Andys Man Club.
In addition our Student Council will be hosting some specific fundraising events throughout the day, including activities such as guess how many sweets in the jar and design a pumpkin. Further information will be released about these plans over the coming days on social media and Teams.
The Student Council is the voice of students at HNC, sharing student feedback so that HNC offers the best possible experience for all young people. They also lead the organisation of a range of events, gaining feedback about what students would like to see, and putting plans in place to make it happen.
A number of awards will be given out on the day, including Funniest Costume and Best Dressed. These categories have been decided via a whole student vote, and the winners will be chosen by our Student Council.
Catherine Cushnie, Assistant Principal comments: “We’re really looking forward to the Student Council’s Halloween Spook-tacular. This event that has been shaped by our student body under the leadership of Student Council. They’ve worked so hard to organise what is set to be a brilliant event, putting plans together and promoting it, including speaking to the whole staff body at a meeting to encourage them to get involved! It’s looking set to be a great day, and we can’t wait to see all of the costumes and outfits.”
