A guide for visitors to HNC
If you are visiting HNC, either today or in the future, below you can find some important information which will be helpful for you during any visit. We politely ask that you review the details that this contains.
Please note that visitors are required to present photographic ID at Reception and this is where you should report to upon arrival. You will be checked in by the team and the member of staff you are here to meet will be advised that you have arrived. Please be aware that the vast majority of our visitors will be accompanied/ supervised at all times by a member of staff during any visit as part of our safeguarding procedures.
Please note as a visitor you must wear the visitor pass issued to you at all times during your visit. You must sign out at Reception at the end of your visit and leave your visitor pass.
Safeguarding
If you see anything that you consider a safeguarding concern please report this immediately to a member of staff (wearing a grey lanyard).
College map
This image below illustrates our campus, and key locations. We also have an onsite Costa Cafe and Starbucks, and a hot server/ shop open at breaks and lunch. If you require use of these facilities, please speak to the member of staff accompanying you during the course of your visit.

Smoking and Vaping
The College is a designated non-smoking and non-vaping site (both inside and in our campus grounds) at all times for students, staff and visitors.
Smoking and vaping is not permitted at any time in vehicles whilst on the College premises.

First Aid
Qualified First Aiders and facilities are available if required.
Should an emergency occur please speak to a member of staff or dial 4693 for the emergency First Aid line and state:
- The nature of the emergency
- Location
- Your name
A trained First Aider will be with you as soon as possible.
Car parking
Visitor parking facilities are available on a first come, first served basis and vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. Visitors can park in the designated visitor bays (subject to availability).
When you report to Reception, you will be asked to log your vehicle registration and issued with a visitor parking permit (if there is a space available). This must be displayed in your vehicle for the duration of your stay.
If no spaces are available, please park off campus. If you park off campus, we politely ask you do so with consideration for our local community and that you observe any parking restrictions.
Disabled bays are available, and are reserved for valid blue badge holders.
Contractors
Contractors must sign in and out of Reception and wear visitor badges at all times. Use of suitable PPE must be adhered to where required.
Accessible and gender neutral toilets
All buildings have accessible toilets on the ground floor which are accessed via a key fob. We also have gender neutral toilets available. Please advise a member of staff if you require access to an accessible toilet.
