Open Events at HNC

Students who are in Year 10 and progressing to post-16 education in September 2025 are invited to join our Year 10 Open Event on Wednesday 10 July 2024. Doors open at 5.30pm and last entry is 8pm and this event provides an ideal opportunity for Year 10 students to take an early look at all HNC has to offer and get ahead in their post-16 planning. Please note the event will end at 8.30pm. At this Year 10 students will be able to:
– Take an early look at all HNC has to offer, and chat to our knowledgeable subject specialists about where their potential choices can take them
– Learn more about how HNC will see them start their journey to becoming their best selves, and achieving their full potential
– Hear from our Principal and students about the HNC experience, and what you can expect
– Understand our different subject pathways, and learn more about the entry criteria for each
– Take a look around our extensive, modern Campus
– Discuss their vision for the future, and be advised about the courses that will best support these ambitions
– Be advised of the College’s application deadline dates

Our Open Events and lesson tasters for Year 11 students interested in joining HNC in September 2024 are now complete. Applicants who attend an interview, receive a conditional offer and have accepted their place will be invited to our Welcome Event, Hudd Fest, which takes place on Thursday 11 July. This provides students with a final opportunity to explore HNC ahead of enrolment.

Travelling to us

HNC is well placed for students from across Kirklees and Calderdale to join us for one of our open events. Click here to access our location page which details more information about where the College is located. Please note, that there is limited parking on site which is available on a first come, first served basis. Disabled bays are reserved for the use of valid badge holders only. Please note that during peak event times there is likely to be queues to enter and leave our campus, therefore we do recommend the use of public transport and car sharing wherever possible. We politely request if you park offsite that you do so with consideration for our local community, and ensure you observe all restrictions.

Limited parking is also available to the YMCA Rugby Club, which is a five minute walk from HNC. Once our carpark is full you may be requested to park here.
