Open Events at HNC

Dates for our Year 11 Open Event series are now live for students

Open Events for students considering applying to HNC for 2026 entry will take place as follows:

• Saturday 11 October (9.30am-3.30pm, last entry 3pm)
• Wednesday 12 November (5.30 – 8.30pm, last entry 8pm)
• Bookable lesson tasters will also take place for applicants in February 2026. Please note that these will strictly be for those who have applied by the application deadline of Friday 12 December 2025. Full details and a link to book will be issued directly to applicants.

What can you explore at a HNC Open Event?

• Discover how the College will support you to become your best self
• Speak to our subject specialists about the options available to you
• Take part in some taster activities to gain a flavour of subjects at Level 3
• Speak to our student ambassadors for an authentic student perspective
• Find out more about our College, our expectations and our Pathways/entry criteria
• Learn more about subjects that are not generally available at GCSE
• Explore the life-changing and enriching opportunities available to our students
• Hear from our Principal to discover more about the HNC Blueprint and understand how you can choose a study programme that supports you to achieve your vision for the future
• Ask any questions you have about HNC and applying to College

Good to know:

• Booking is not required
• Please carefully check last entry times, as arrivals after this time cannot be accommodated
• All prospective students must be accompanied by a parent/carer or a responsible adult. If you are unable to attend with an adult, please contact us on news@huddnewcoll.ac.uk so that we can arrange a guided visit
• Parking on site is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis
