Student Bursary Applications 2025-26

Bursary applications for the 2025-26 academic year are now closed. If there are exceptional reasons that mean you wish to make a late application, please contact the finance team via studentfinance@huddnewcoll.ac.uk for further information.

The information below is for information purposes only regarding the College’s eligibility criteria for the current academic year. You can also review the Bursary Fund Policy for full and detailed information here. Please note that the eligibility criteria is subject to change, including due to changes in funding regulations.

Eligibility for bursary
HNC operates a tiered approach to bursary. Please note that all applications are individually assessed, and that even if your household income meets the criteria, this is not a guarantee that bursary will be granted. The following table provides further information and guidance.

Other important information:

  • Due to Government funding regulations, applications can only be made by the student. We cannot accept applications submitted from parents/carers
  • Students must include their own personal email address on the application form. We will reject applications where it is clear that a parent/carer has completed a form, or their email address has been provided
  • Any awarded bursary support is subject to the student meeting the College’s minimum expectations concerning attendance, behaviour and commitment
  • Applicants are politely requested to ensure applications are correct, and completed in full. It is the responsibility of the applicant to meet all deadlines, and return documents in good time if additional information is requested. The College cannot guarantee support will be in place where students have missed deadlines or not completed the application correctly.
