Bursary applications for the 2025-26 academic year are now open. Before submitting your application please read the following important information. All queries regarding applications should be emailed to studentfinance@huddnewcoll.ac.uk. We strongly recommend that all applicants also review the Bursary Fund Policy for full and detailed information.
Eligibility for bursary
HNC operates a tiered approach to bursary. Please note that all applications are individually assessed, and that even if your household income meets the criteria, this is not a guarantee that bursary will be granted. The following table provides further information and guidance. Please note that until an application is completed in full and submitted with all required evidence, we are unable to advise regarding eligibility.
Deadlines
Current students wishing to reapply for support and incoming students must apply by midday Friday 11 July for support to be available from the first day of term, if eligible. Please note we cannot guarantee this where applications are submitted incorrectly, including where there is missing information. In all cases, while we may provide an outcome to the application during the Summer, support will be made available from the first day of teaching – Monday 1 September for new Year 12 students and Tuesday 2 September for Year 13 students.
Bursary applications will formally close on Friday 28 November 2025. We cannot guarantee when outcomes for late bursary applications will be provided, therefore we advise students to submit their application at the earliest opportunity, to avoid delays. Please see the Bursary Fund Policy for further details regarding late applications.
