Acceptance Portal 2026

Please complete the information below to accept your place. This portal will close on Friday 24 April. Please remember that if you do not formally accept your place via this portal that your offer will be withdrawn.

Please note that while you will have received confirmation of an offer very shortly after your interview, you will not be able to formally accept your conditional place until after you have received an email that states that your offer is uploaded and ready to accept. You must complete the process in full in order to accept your place. During this process you will be asked to input your ‘NOK1’ and ‘NOK2’ contacts. This stands for next of kin, and will always almost be your parents/carers.

NOK stands for ‘next of kin’. These are the contacts College will use to keep your parent/carer informed about your progress and if we need to contact home in an emergency situation. It is also important to note that these contacts will have accounts set up for College systems such as WisePay which allow parents/carers to make payments to HNC. As an applicant you will tell us who your contacts are, not your parent/carer, so it is important that you get them right.

Please read the following information below before completing the next of kin (NOK) fields:

Who should NOK1 be?
– The next of kin 1 is the first person College would telephone in an emergency and the person who will undertake tasks such as making payments to HNC via WisePay, book consultation evening appointments and provide consent for trips
– In the vast majority of cases, this will be a parent/carer or legal guardian. If you live with both parents/carers you will need to choose one person to be your NOK1 contact. If you do not live with both parents/carers, you should choose the person who you live with for most of the time. If you reside equally across two addresses, and/or your parents/carers are separated, we advise you speak to your parents/carers about who the most appropriate NOK1 contact is.

Who should NOK2 be?
– This is your secondary emergency contact, and you should choose the person who College should contact if they are unable to reach the first priority (NOK1) contact
– If you do not live with both parents/carers, NOK2 will usually need to be the person who has not been named as NOK1, if this person will need access to College updates and systems or information about your progress

It can also be a relative such as a grandparent or other responsible adult, but please bear in mind that whoever you have named will be the person provided with access to College systems and we cannot set any accounts up for people who are not named as contacts by you and stored on your record. You cannot input more than two contacts.
