I was part of the XL programme, and I really enjoyed taking part in university level lectures on topics that helped me to develop knowledge way beyond my study programme - I felt like this really expanded my wider understanding of the world, and helped me to debate and voice my opinions, and understand the opinions of others. It's also really built my self confidence as I now feel confident in discussing topics outside of my comfort zone!"
