HNC has revealed that Year 12 students will be joining a day of careers-based inspiration on Wednesday 12 June. At the HNC Summer Careers Event, students will join talks and workshops of their choice, along with being able to visit an onsite exhibition featuring over 60 universities, employers, apprenticeship providers and other organisations that can help students to develop their skills and shine in a competitive world.
Students are currently booking their choice of talk, with topics ranging from studying Architecture and Allied Healthcare degrees to Creative Writing and Business. Students have also being able to opt for employer led talks, which include an advice session with a GP and an Accountancy business. Sessions on gap years, and practical matters such as how to write a great covering letter, are also on offer. Students have been able to choose from a choice of more than 40 talks and workshops.
As part of the day, students will also be given time to visit the onsite exhibition, to gather information about opportunities, ask questions, and receive advice. A list of just some of the confirmed exhibitors can be found below.

In addition, students have been able to choose from a wide selection of talks and workshops which are designed to provide a real focus on specific careers. Led by experts in these fields, students also be able to ask specific questions and receive advice. Here at HNC we work with students during every step of their journey to help them develop their vision for the future, and create a clear plan about how they will get there, and this day will further help students to do this, as they prepare to progress to Year 13.”
