HNC is delighted to reveal that our Young Enterprise team, Colourful Adventures, was named the winner of the Yorkshire and Humber Young Enterprise regional finals and will now be progressing to the national Young Enterprise UK Company of the Year Finals 2024 on 6 June.
Colourful Adventures is a Young Enterprise business that combines art with challenging topics, giving parents and carers an opportunity to explore difficult topics in an accessible and meaningful way. You can find out more here.
With an impressive team, product and launch strategy, Colourful Adventures have won the local and regional heats, and are now working hard to prepare for the national final on 6 June. Colourful Adventures is currently in discussions with a company who are interested in placing a large scale order of the books which will be gifted to children in hospital.
At this the team will compete against other regional winners from around the UK, and will be grilled on everything from their business strategy and what they have learned on their journey to their vision for their product in the future and the impact their product has had.
Should the team win the national final, they will be invited to represent the UK at the GEN E festival in Sicily. GEN E is Europe’s largest entrepreneurship festival.
Matt Kuszyk, who runs the Young Enterprise enrichment at HNC comments: “Over a number of years we’ve had some incredible business concepts as part of our Young Enterprise enrichment. However, this is the first time that we have had a team which has reached the national final. Colourful Adventures is a creative concept, and the team have worked so hard to market and deliver a successful product and they’ve had phenomenal feedback from their customers. Whatever happens at the upcoming final, I am immensely proud of the team. It has been a pleasure to see the team grow and develop over their Young Enterprise journey.”
