HNC ARTISTS LAUNCH NEXUS OF VISIONS EXHIBITION

HNC is delighted to reveal that the ‘Nexus of Visions’ exhibition is now open in the Reception area for students and staff to view until Friday 19 December, and is also available online to view by parents/carers and our wider community.

Our Applied Art and Design students have developed and delivered the entire exhibition, from planning the event and deciding on the name, producing their own chosen piece of work to exhibit and creating the marketing collateral to launch and promote the event. You can read more about this project here.

Nexus of Visions captures the broad range of artistic techniques that students studying Applied Art and Design explore, and each member of the class has produced a piece of artwork in their favourite medium, within the themes of games, nature, history, life and death and idols. The online gallery can be found below. Please note that due to safeguarding, the physical exhibition is open for viewing by students and staff only.

Christian Braime, teacher of Applied Art and Design comments: “The Nexus of Visions exhibition is a great example of how our students express and develop their creativity, while building on the professional skills they will need to secure their dream role in the industry. From planning, building, promoting and deciding on the exhibition concept to producing stunning pieces of work in their chosen medium, this has been a real opportunity for students to showcase their talents while developing skills including teamwork, event planning and marketing knowledge. I hope everyone enjoys the talented work of our young people whether viewing their work online or in person!”
