With just under a week to go, HNC has revealed more about the exciting line up of organisations students will be able to meet during their normal College day during next week’s National Apprenticeship Week (NAW).
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) runs 5 – 11 February and shines a national spotlight on the wide range of career opportunities available via apprenticeships, including degree level apprenticeships. HNC will be welcoming almost 25 organisations to College across two of the days (Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 February) who will be joining us to highlight the apprenticeships they have on offer, speak to students about what an apprenticeship might involve, and share hints and tips with our young people about how they can shine during the competitive application process. A full list of our currently confirmed exhibitors so far can be viewed below.
This special meet and greet apprenticeship fair will be hosted in the Junction across these two days, and as a College we will also be reminding students and parents/carers about the additional support we can offer including help with often competitive application processes, and how to search for opportunities.
Maria Dean, Assistant Principal comments: “Students today have a vast array of opportunities available to them post-HNC and apprenticeships, including degree level apprenticeships, are a popular choice for many students. National Apprenticeship Week provides an opportunity for the nation to focus on both the benefits and the wide variety of apprenticeships available today. We are delighted to be joining others across the country in providing our students with an opportunity to explore the possibilities available to them to earn while they learn across a huge variety of professions from the expected to the unexpected! This two day event will also enable students to network with potential employers, ask questions and seek their advice about how they can shine during an often competitive interview process. We would like to thank all of the organisations joining us for giving up their time to help inspire our students about the possibilities of an apprenticeship.”
