YOUNG ENTERPRISE GROUP ‘WOVEN TOGETHER’ LAUNCHES BUSINESS WITH AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE

HNC has revealed that our second Young Enterprise group has just launched a very special business which will see them retailing t-shirts designed to prompt conversations about mental health.

Young Enterprise is a national charity that works to help young people to succeed by allowing them to experience the real world of business through their own special projects, developing their work skills, knowledge, and confidence. Young Enterprise is just one of a wide range of enrichments available at HNC.

The College is currently working with two Young Enterprise business groups. Our second group, Woven Together, launched their business last week to staff and have been retailing their very special product throughout this week in the Junction.

Woven Together offers a range of branded t-shirts which are designed to prompt conversations about mental health, and encourage the wearer to champion their message of how we are ‘all in this together’ when it comes to mental health. The team are pictured below on their retail stall.

Priced at £10 and available in sizes small to XXXL, the t-shirts can be ordered by contacting Woven Together’s Instagram account @woventogetherclothingbrand

Sara Graul, Teacher of 3D Design and lead member of staff for this Young Enterprise group comments: “I am really proud of the professional product the team has worked together to create and launch. Inspired by how their peers have conversations around clothing, the team has come up with a social enterprise business that will prompt some really important conversations around mental health. The College has two fantastic Young Enterprise teams, so it will be interesting to see how far in the Young Enterprise competition we both progress and if we end up in an Apprentice style final at the end! Both teams have a brilliant product, but naturally I am hoping our Woven Together team succeed and progress into the national finals.”
