Psychology

A Level

In A Level Psychology you will engage in the scientific study of the human mind and behaviour, and you will gain an incredible insight into the reasoning behind an individual’s actions. You’ll explore a range of psychological disciplines and theories, and use these to examine and analyse a range of contemporary subjects. You’ll study the idea of ‘nature vs. nurture’, examining if behaviour is determined by the environment or unmoveable biological factors and why, for example, some members of society enter a life of crime, or are more likely to suffer from poor mental health.

This fascinating subject will see you studying a diverse range of topics which give you a thorough grounding in key aspects of psychology. You’ll also develop a key range of research and data analysis skills that will develop a sound scientific approach to your studies.
