NATIONAL CAREERS WEEK AT HNC: STUDENTS PLAN THEIR VISION FOR THE FUTURE
10.03.2026Last week (2–7 March), HNC celebrated National Careers Week (NCW) with a special Vision Week taking place across the College. Students had the opportunity to explore the many progression options available to them beyond HNC, from degree-level study through to progressing directly into the workplace.
At HNC, students are supported to become the best version of themselves, equipping them with the confidence to take their next steps and pursue their vision for the future. The College hosts two Vision Weeks across the academic year to support progression planning, with the first aligning with NCW and the second taking place during the summer term.
During Vision Week 1, students from across the College took part in a range of activities on UniFrog, the College’s careers platform, including updating their CVs and writing mock cover letters. The College also welcomed guest speakers from universities and industry, alongside former HNC students who returned to share their experiences and journeys since leaving the College. Students also took part in a number of trips and visits. Highlights included hands-on degree-level workshops at Leeds Trinity University, where A Level and Applied Law students participated in a mock trial, while IT students took part in a specialist cyber security workshop.
