WE COULDN’T BE PROUDER: HNC STUDENTS CELEBRATE THEIR HARD WORK PAYING OFF ON LEVEL 3 RESULTS DAY
13.08.2026Today we’re delighted to be congratulating our Class of 2026 as they join thousands of young people across the UK who are celebrating their success in the recent A Level and Level 3 BTEC exam series.
Our outgoing Year 13 students are now starting an exciting new chapter, as today’s Results Day also sees many of them receiving final confirmations regarding university places, apprenticeships or employment.
We are so proud of all our students, their determination, hard work, and commitment to becoming their best self has really paid off. Supported by high-quality teaching and high expectations, our students have excelled. Some results highlights include:
- 54% high grades (A*,A, B or Distinction or Distinction*).
- A Level pass rate: 97.4%
- Applied Level 3 pass rate: 99.1%
- 1333 individual A*, A, B, Distinction or Distinction* grades
- HNC continues to have above average retention rates for A Levels, reflecting how we supportively challenge young people to achieve and complete their studies. This year our A Level retention rate is 3.4% above the national average
Marcus Smith-Connor, Principal comments: “A huge congratulations to our Class of 2026! For our young people, their results not only mark a culmination of their hard work during their two year journey, but the confirmation of the qualifications they need to take their chosen next step. We’d like to say well done to all of our students who are celebrating their formal confirmation of university, apprenticeship and employment offers. Our staff are really looking forward to hearing more about how they are progressing at our celebration event later this year.”
